Ahoy, mateys! For the January school holidays, Milleara Shopping Centre was taken over by pirates! But don’t fret, it was all in good fun!
Display
A grand pirate ship dropped anchor right in the heart of the shopping centre. It was complete with cut-out holes, perfect for snapping that adventurous photo. This photo zone was a hit, turning every visitor into a captain!
Our holiday display featured:
- Custom PVC pirate ship display – a double-sided large backdrop for all activities with portholes. A great photo moment as well, and it set the scene for the holiday program
- AO foamboard and easel signage with menu of activities
- Acrylic stand with A4 activity sheets for colouring in and paper activities to complete when the main activities program was resting
- Floor decal trail – a fun trail of information on pirates, which led children and families around the centre to complete the treasure map and complete the trail. They led to pods of treasure and pieces of the ship and gave fun facts along the way.
- Treasure chest pod – a unique display pod on a 120cm base with an antique treasure chest and of course, treasure spilling out.
- Helm pod – a change to drive the ship with our antique ships wheel on base with crates of treasure and perhaps even a skeleton buried.
School holiday Activations
A treasure hunt
There was also a treasure hunt with floor decals and signs for little ones to discover fun facts and information about pirates. Individual signage was attached to fun display pods and individual businesses to hide the clues
Craft Workshops
We also hosted a treasure chest of creative workshops daily in the centre over the holiday period! Kids got to dive into the world of pirates, creating their own ocean creatures and artwork.
Children Entertainers
The pirate display at Milleara Shopping Centre was a voyage into the imagination, a chance for families to spend quality time together, and an opportunity for kids to learn through play. We loved seeing everyone getting into the spirit and embracing the adventure.
So, to all who joined us on this swashbuckling adventure, we say thank you. And to those who missed it, fear not! Who knows what adventure awaits around the next corner?
