Freshwater Place – A warm welcome back with traditional Christmas styling
As Melbourne’s workplaces welcomed employees back after the COVID work-from-home period, Freshwater Place wanted to create a festive display that celebrated the return to the office with warmth, familiarity and optimism. We designed a classic commercial Christmas installation that combined timeless Christmas colours with contemporary styling, creating an inviting arrival experience for everyone entering the building.
This Christmas tree hire Melbourne project centred around a beautifully decorated commercial Christmas tree featuring vibrant red poinsettias, rich gold baubles and warm white fairy lights. While poinsettias are one of the most recognisable symbols of Christmas, we reimagined them in a modern way by layering the flowers in sweeping bands throughout the tree rather than using them as individual accents. The result was a bold, architectural design that felt both traditional and contemporary, perfectly complementing the clean lines and premium finishes of the Freshwater Place foyer.
Christmas design for every client
To create a cohesive festive experience, the styling continued across the reception area with a matching Christmas garland draped in elegant loops along the front of the reception desk. Decorated with the same red poinsettias, gold baubles and lush commercial foliage, the garland connected the entrance with the feature tree and created a seamless festive journey through the space.
Every element was carefully designed to enhance the existing architecture rather than compete with it. The vivid red decorations complemented the striking red feature wall behind reception, while the gold accents added warmth and sophistication. Together, the display created a welcoming atmosphere that reflected both the excitement of the Christmas season and the joy of welcoming people back into the workplace.
