For Christmas 2024, The Festive Store was again engaged to bring festive joy to Mernda Junction Shopping Centre with a colourful Christmas installation that packed a major visual punch. Despite being a modestly scaled activation, the display delivered high-impact results, transforming key entrances into bright and cheerful holiday zones.

The colourful Christmas design at Mernda took inspiration from on trend, bold, playful colour palettes and gift-themed motifs, creating a sense of warmth and delight for centre visitors. Two distinct yet complementary photo opportunities were installed, offering shoppers interactive festive moments.

Oversized Gift Box Backdrops: Custom-designed present-shaped walls in vivid pink, orange, and red tones created the foundation of the display. These giant “gifts” served as a festive focal point and perfect holiday photo background.

Matching Gift Box Seats: Integrated seating disguised as wrapped presents allowed families and children to sit and take photos comfortably, adding functionality to the form.

Checkerboard Floor Decals: Bright patterned vinyl floors tied the whole scene together, elevating the aesthetic while marking the photo zone.

Christmas Tree Feature: The main installation included a colour-matched Christmas tree, adorned with a mix of hot pink, orange, turquoise, silver, and gold baubles. This bold colour selection made the tree pop in the retail environment and aligned perfectly with the palette of the surrounding display.
