Austrliana themed commercial Christmas
Our Australian commercial Christmas in Melbourne for 2020 was a wonderful highlight of the quietened Melbourne city. With the pandemic closing much of the city for 2020, the brief was simple. To bring some light and spirit to the small number of tenants in the complex. And also to provide a piece of joy to the pedestrians and commuters walking by. During COVID the city did feel empty, but a lot of critical workers were moving through the city everyday.
The corner of Lonsdale and Spring Streets used to be a wattle farm, a far cry from it’s current tenants, the Department of Health. We mixed the artificial wattle and Australian foliage with gum and banksia to give a unique and custom display of traditional Christmas wreaths. The wreaths were hung from existing structures as well as a custom frame to allow the wreaths to be seen from all angles. We were also able to decorate Madame Brussels Lane, open to the public at all times and a beautiful place to unwind away from the city business.
Building on the 2020 display, our 2021 decor was able to add more decorations including Christmas trees to the space for tenants in the building, not just for the streetscape.
Australiana themed folaige and decorations
Our Australiana theme includes soft reds, golds, greens with artificial wattle and eucalyptus, bringing a warm Australian feel for Christmas. The warmth of LED golden lights ensures the foliage and decorations shine day and night.
The hero of this year’s installation was our two 14ft spruce green trees, with realistic foliage. Our trees are built on a strong centre pole with individual branches fanning out to over 2.5m. Our trees are decorated in a custom design for each of our clients and our commercial Australiana theme includes:
- 1000’s of warm fairy lights in super bright bulbs
- a commercial garland wrapped around the tree filled with decorations
- decorations of baubles, picks and leaf
- individual picks of wattle and eucalypt leaves
And of course this beautiful decor was matched in Madame Brussels Lane with our giant 2.5m Christmas wreaths. They feature:
- thick UV stable foliage wrapped around a steel frame
- LED warm fairy lights entwined in the foliage around the whole wreath
- UV Stable baubles matching the indoor decorations and trees
- lush picks and foliage to create the Australiana Christmas theme
