To welcome the Year of the Fire Horse in 2026, The Festive Store was proud to deliver a vibrant and immersive Lunar New Year installation at Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre.
Designed to capture the energy, symbolism and celebratory spirit of Lunar New Year, this activation transformed the centre into a glowing cultural showcase and interactive destination for shoppers.
At the heart of the installation stood a dazzling illuminated wishing tree, wrapped in warm golden LED lights and adorned with traditional red lanterns and hanging wish cards. The glowing tree created an inviting focal point, encouraging visitors to pause, reflect and take part in the celebration.
Framing the space was a dramatic circular light arch, finished in gold and flanked by two bold rearing horse silhouettes. The arch not only symbolised prosperity and unity, but also created a stunning photo opportunity that drew shoppers in from across the centre.
“Find Your Zodiac” Interactive Feature
A key highlight of the installation was the large-scale “Find Your Zodiac” wall. Featuring all 12 zodiac animals, the display allowed visitors to discover their sign and learn more about its traits.
Set against a vibrant red and pink gradient backdrop with gold detailing, the zodiac wall added an educational and interactive element to the activation. The 2026 Fire Horse was prominently featured, celebrating the year’s symbolism of:

This interactive element increased dwell time and encouraged social sharing, making it a strong engagement piece within the centre.
Centre-Wide Visual Impact
To extend the celebration beyond the activation zone, custom “2026 – Year of the Fire Horse” discs were installed throughout the mall on key columns. This created visual continuity and ensured the Lunar New Year presence was felt across the entire shopping centre.
The rich palette of red, pink and gold — colours symbolising luck, prosperity and joy — ensured the installation felt authentic, festive and premium.
